Android |
Android is a Linux-based operating system for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. It is developed by the Open Handset Alliance led by Google.[9][10] |
Computer |
A computer is a programmable machine designed to automatically carry out a sequence of arithmetic or logical operations. The particular sequence of operations can be changed readily, allowing the computer to solve more than one kind of problem. An important class of computer operations on some computing platforms is the accepting of input from human operators and the output of results formatted for human consumption. The interface between the computer and the human operator is known as the user interface. |
Windows Mobile |
Windows Mobile is a mobile operating system developed by Microsoft for smartphones and Pocket PCs.[2] It is based on the Windows CE kernel and first appeared as the Pocket PC 2000 operating system. It is supplied with a suite of basic applications developed with the Microsoft Windows API, and is designed to have features and appearance somewhat similar to desktop versions of Windows. Third parties can develop software for Windows Mobile with no restrictions imposed by Microsoft. Software applications were purchasable from Windows Marketplace for Mobile during the service's lifespan. |
Tablet PC |
A tablet computer, or a tablet, is a mobile computer, larger than a mobile phone or personal digital assistant, integrated into a flat touch screen and primarily operated by touching the screen rather than using a physical keyboard. It often uses an onscreen virtual keyboard, a passive stylus pen, or a digital pen.[1][2][3] The term may also apply to a variety of form factors that differ in position of the screen with respect to a keyboard. |
Gadget |
A gadget is a small[1] tool such as a machine that has a particular function, but is often thought of as a novelty. Gadgets are invariably[citation needed] considered to be more unusually or cleverly designed than normal tools at the time of their invention. Gadgets are sometimes referred to as gizmos. |

Empire Island |

Most defence games limit themselves to whats tried and tested, mostly tower defence games that has a massive fan following as well. Well lets say Empire Island is a defend your castle, from the invaders that progress through the ages, if you played bowmaster prelude, its a little like it at least the way you attack the incoming waves of enemies.
The concept of Empire Island is fairly simple, you advance through the ages and make sure your weaponry and spells advance as well or you will be left behind with a bunch of weapons that are too outdated to take on the new age enemy weaponry. But all this takes place on an island, so you have enemies advancing on your left and right, thank god for the A and D keys that help you scroll the screen, but ouch to the repetitive attacking with the mouse!!!
To do that you need to make sure you have enough of population, by building houses that pay you tax at the end of every turn. Using that money you can upgrade your weapons, spells and unlock new stuff that helps you get through the game.
As you defeat the waves you progress from one level to another, even though you can amass a huge amount of revenue with the population, a single wave can bring down the population structures with relative ease. So its essential to keep upgrading them and manage to make enough of revenue to keep the invaders at bay.
I have found the game pretty tough and not easy to beat, the way I managed to unlock all the ages is by playing each of the ages and unlocking the next one as I never managed to save up enough to upgrade the palace and the weapons, I rate this as a tough game you also need to figure out the gravity and spread for each of the weapons.
But once that's done the game becomes easier except that it gets annoying repeating the same action again and again. Also something one should notice about the art in the game on the left side in the tutorial it looks like a tribal face and on the right side it looks like a .....
I wish you all the best trying to defend your Empire Island! If you like this you would love Civilization Wars!
